PETALING JAYA (Dec 14): Focusing in holiday destinations of Langkawi and Genting Highlands, Tropicana Corp Bhd has launched the ‘Tropicana Journey Collection’ on Dec 5 starting with Tropicana Grandhill in Genting Highland and Tropicana Cenang in Langkawi, according to a report by City & Country.

Joanne Lee, managing director of marketing and sales, shared that the Tropicana Grandhill and Tropicana Cenang marks Tropicana’s first presence in the holiday destinations.

Tropicana Grandhill will be developed in three phases with the first phase to feature a serviced residence named TwinPines serviced suites, an international school, a senior living facility and a park.

TwinPines serviced suites sit on 3.57 acres with built-up ranging 379 sq ft to 1,330 sq ft. It has an estimated gross development value of RM 1 billion.

Meanwhile, the second phase will consist of a recreational park, a serviced residence and the Silver Hair Village for senior citizens. The third phase has yet to be finalised.

In Langkawi, the Tropicana Cenang will feature Assana Serviced Suites and Merissa Serviced Suites with 831 units and 60 units respectively. The built-up ranges from 380 sq ft to 1310 sq ft. In its second phase, Tropicana Cenang will feature retail shops and a luxury hotel.

The price for these residential units ranges from RM400,000 to about RM1.8 million.

Currently, Tropicana holds a land bank of 241.2 hectares in Genting Highland and more than 50 hectares in Langkawi.
