PETALING JAYA (Feb 22): IPC Shopping Centre has been upgrading its facilities as it aims to improve the shopping experience of its customers whilst it continues to maintain itself as a family-friendly shopping mall.

Some of these upgrading efforts include installing a brand-new escalator to improve navigation and traffic flow, the refurbishment of family rooms with adequate lighting, installing antibacterial flooring and an advanced air ventilation system that has air purifying properties.

Upgrading works in the family room includes the installation of locks in the nursing rooms for comfort and privacy for nursing mothers, an integrated play area for toddlers and also providing sinks, water heaters and water dispenser.

Meanwhile, not forgetting the children’s enjoyment, the shopping centre has also built two new playgrounds on Level G and Level 2, respectively. Each playground caters to different age groups of children.

The new playground on Level G caters to older children where it provides equipment including slides, tunnels, and small-climbing areas that are set up like a mini obstacle course.

On Level 2, a dinosaur-themed playset and interactive panels have been installed where younger children can enjoy spring riders, seesaws, slides and educational panels.

“IPC has been receiving tremendous support from the surrounding community for over 18 years. As IPC aims to provide its customers with ‘Home Away from Home’ experience, we strive to continue upgrading ourselves by improving our hospitality services, offering a wider retail tenant-mix, and hosting more unique family-friendly events to engage with our shoppers and their loved ones,” said IPC Shopping Centre general manager Karyn Lim

Meanwhile, IPC Shopping Centre has also launched the “Citer-Citer IPC” initiative as a sign of appreciation for their tenants and shoppers. The initiative features exclusive e-vouchers for shoppers whilst simultaneously offering behind-the-scenes footage of retailers who have struggled during the pandemic.

IPC Shopping Centre was the Silver recipient in the EdgeProp’s Best Managed & Sustainable Property Awards 2021 – 10 years and above retail category and was the first LEED - certified commercial building under the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) in the country.
