Kuala Lumpur (June 8): Glomac Bhd's hillside double-storey terraced house project, Ruma 33 has been fully taken up in less than three months since its launch in December 2021, said the developer in a media statement on June 7.

With a gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM28.5 million, Ruma 33 is situated in Saujana Sungai Buloh, a mature sub-urban residential area within the greater Klang Valley.

With a floor space built-up from 2,222 to 2,245 sq ft, all Ruma 33 houses come with dual façade design, where each unit will have two frontages.

Scheduled to be completed in 2023, homes are priced from RM669,000 and are situated only 25km away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

Glomac group COO Zulkifly Garib noted a surge in demand for quality homes, particularly landed, with bigger space, despite the softening property market, due to the aftermath of COVID-19 that has affected buyers’ overall purchasing power.

“COVID-19 has significantly altered our lifestyle. Many now prefer to stay at home rather than spend time outside. More people are also working from home. As a result of this, we are seeing higher demand for bigger and better quality landed properties,” he said.

Meanwhile, Glomac has some RM8 billion worth of potential projects in the pipeline and will be launching more property products for various market segments in the future, including quality affordable homes.

For this year, the developer plans to launch several new projects, which include double storey homes in Saujana KLIA as well as Rumah Selangorku homes at Glomac Lakeside Residence in Puchong.
