PETALING JAYA (June 30): KSK Land has announced the structural completion of Tower B of YOO8 serviced by Kempinski in 8 Conlay, Kuala Lumpur.

In a statement on Thursday (June 30), KSK Land group chief executive officer and managing director Joanne Kua said: “Following the structural completion of YOO8 Tower A late last year, we are extremely happy that 8 Conlay continues to progress steadily and we have now topped out and completed the structure of YOO8 Tower B.”

YOO8 Tower A is expected to be completed in early 2023 and YOO8 Tower B in end-2023. Both Towers A and B have achieved a take-up rate of 80% and 40% each to-date since the launch in 2015 and 2018 respectively. This will be followed by the completion of the retail podium in the first half of 2023 while the 8 Conlay Kempinski Hotel is slated for completion in the first half of 2024.

YOO8 is a branded residence property associated with YOO, the world’s largest non-hotel residential brand.

“We are now seeing an uptick of market interest in ultra-luxury Malaysian properties such as YOO8, from buyers at home and abroad. Locally, we have recorded a 10% growth in local buyers shifting the ratio from 30% to 40% in the past few years. This has been driven by disruption in international markets resulting in high net-worth individuals looking at Malaysia’s property market as a safe haven,” said Kua.

The twin branded residential towers of YOO8 will feature one-of-a-kind interiors by architecture and design giants Steve Leung & YOO and Kelly Hoppen for YOO. The development also features the country’s first and only five-star Kempinski Hotel and four-storey experiential retail quarters, bringing together well-curated lifestyle experiences as well as combining exceptional hospitality and experiential dining for contemporary seekers.

Towering over the cityscape with 56 luxurious residential floors, YOO8 Tower B features impeccable interiors by British interior designer — Kelly Hoppen CBE. KSK Land has also secured a buyer for 8 Conlay’s sole penthouse unit at a price of RM30 million. Located on the 65th floor of the Kempinski hotel tower, the excited buyer was said to have decided on the 8,742 sq ft residence, as it offers 360-degree views of the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

Kua added: “The demand for branded residences in Asia has remained resilient despite events in recent years. We foresee that this will continue to gain traction as the world reopens its doors to international travel. YOO8 at 8 Conlay continues to appeal to investors who are keen to diversify their investment portfolio with branded residences, for the project’s high built quality, integrated luxury lifestyle services and amenities and premium property management honed by Kempinski, which will ensure the development’s steady capital appreciation.”

8 Conlay’s easy connectivity to many major commercial and tourism landmarks and surrounding infrastructure development such as the upcoming Conlay MRT station, which is part of the Putrajaya line, will continue to promote its value as a viable prime real estate investment.
