KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 2): Erica @ Meridin East Phase 3’s 108 units have been fully sold over the weekend, Mah Sing Group Bhd announced today.

According to a media release by the developer, this means that all three phases totalling 473 units with a gross development value (GDV) of RM233 million are now sold out.

The next phase of Meridin East, Erica West Phase 1 comprising 179 units (with a GDV of approximately RM91 million) is now open for registration of interest.

“We are delighted to announce that all 108 units of Erica @ Meridin East Phase 3 have been fully sold last weekend. Phase 1 was launched in November last year,” said Mah Sing chief executive officer, Property Subsidiaries, Benjamin Ong Chin Yee.

“This demonstrates the high demand for reasonably priced landed properties in strategic locations with practical layouts. Hence, registration for the next phase of this township — Erica West Phase 1 is now open. We are confident that this project will set another great milestone for our Meridin East township," he added.

Launched in 2016, Meridin East is Mah Sing’s largest mixed development township comprising residential, commercial and light industrial development with a total land size of 1,313 acres. It is the biggest integrated township in Iskandar Malaysia’s Eastern Gateway with 500 acres of green belt surrounding the area.

To date, more than 2,000 units of homes have been handed over to purchasers, recording approximately a 70% occupancy rate.

"Following the success of Meridin East, the group recently acquired M Minori, a new freehold land in Mukim Tebrau, further expanding its presence in Johor Bahru,” Ong revealed.

“M Minori has an estimated GDV of RM469 million and will be a mixed development consisting of three blocks of serviced suites with indicative starting prices at RM260,000. The mixed development is scheduled for registration of interest in the fourth quarter of 2022, and we anticipate that it will be able to capitalise on a large target catchment in that area," he added.

Meanwhile, Mah Sing also announced that as one of the participating projects of the developer’s home ownership campaign dubbed H.O.M.E., Erica homebuyers get to enjoy attractive perks, such as zero down-payment, free stamp duty and lower monthly instalment.

Another 12 projects in the Klang Valley and Northern region are taking part in this campaign, which will run until Sept 30, 2022.
