PETALING JAYA (Sept 20): Tropicana Corp Bhd will hold a campaign for families to eat, play and bond over four consecutive weekends at four property galleries.

While reliving fond childhood memories of the past and sharing with younger generations, the campaign will feature 20 traditional games at each venue and over 50 games as a whole. Included are simple pleasures like congkak, hopscotch and skipping rope, said Tropicana in a statement.

Held from the last weekend of September to mid-October, these traditional games will be made available through its eat, play and bond-themed “Sama-Sama” campaign.

The campaign will attempt to recreate traditional childhood memories through this “Sama-Sama” concept, said Tropicana’s senior general manager for marketing and sales Ung Lay Ting.

“These four developments essentially encapsulate Tropicana’s unique DNA, one that is built on the cornerstone of accessibility, connectivity, innovative concepts and designs, generous open spaces, amenities, facilities, multi-tiered security and quality,” said Ung.

Ung believes parents want their children to look back on their childhood fondly and she wants to provide these opportunities to parents. She said: “No kid is going to look back on their formative years, nudge their sibling and say ‘Remember we sat on the couch all afternoon and played Candy Crush?’

“These traditional games will teach the children how to build new social networks, provide early pashing opportunities and foster family bonds the old ways through face-to-face interaction,” she said.

If you are looking for the opportunity to eat, play and bond with your children while reminiscing your fun childhood with a wide range of fantastic traditional games, visit these galleries for a fun-filled day with your children. Tropicana’s “Sama-Sama” campaign will end on Oct 16. For details, please visit www.facebook.com/tropicanacorp.
