MH Pinnacle

IPOH (Jan 8): The fast changing skyline of Ipoh will soon see the rise of twin towers.

The MH Pinnacle will rise above all as the tallest building in Perak when it is completed in 2018.

Located in Medan Ipoh, Ipoh Garden East, next to the North-South Expressway, the 29-storey building will rise 50.3m above sea level.

It will also be the only glass tower in the state.

The project is undertaken by Birchwood Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Man Hoe Holdings, and MB Incorporated.

The ground breaking of the project yesterday was attended by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The main block, called MB Inc Tower, will house the MB Inc office along with a hotel, residences and Grade A offices.

The other block, Amanjaya Tower will have 146 units of lifestyle residences and a shopping centre.

Pinnacle Mall, as the shopping centre will be known, will house 36 retail lots, a dining centre, iconic Perak signature food outlets, a conventional centre, a swimming pool, a gym and more.

Response has been favourable to the office and residential units in the project with a a gross development value of RM220 million.

Zambry, in his address, said the development spelled the end of Ipoh’s reputation of being a dead city after Maghrib prayers.

“Ipoh city today is vibrant, fast paced and developed, with more projects proposed by the Ipoh City Council. Where previously it was rare to see high rise, there are now 28 high rise developments coming up, which is a positive indicator,” he said. -- The Malaysian Insider
