IRERS 2016

KUALA LUMPUR (April 28): Junainah Mohamad won the best poster award at the International Real Estate Research Symposium (IRERS 2016).

Junainah accepted the gold award from The National Institute of Valuation (INSPEN) director Rasidah Isnin, who also serves as IRERS’ advisor, today at the symposium.

Her award-winning poster’s title is “Capabilities of Revealed Preference Method for Heritage Property Valuation”.

Meanwhile, Nor Nazihah Chuweni with her poster, “Measuring Productivity Growth of Malaysian Real Estate Investment Trust”, scooped the silver award.

The bronze (articulate) award went to Ting Kien Hwa for his poster titled “Seasonality, Trend and Cyclicality of Malaysia Residential Property Sectors”.

Nur Amirah Syafiqah Shapee took home the bronze (graphic) award. Her poster title is “Housing Affordability Stress Among Bumiputera in Johor Bahru”.

The final award – the bronze (encouragement) – went to Diyanah Zufazlin Ahmad Zukiman. Her poster title is “The Effectiveness of Affordable Home Schemes in Kuala Lumpur”.

The poster competition saw 18 entries from students and researchers of local universities.

The participants had condensed their research and findings into A1-sized posters.

IRERS is a real estate research forum held in collaboration with several international universities and property organisations. IRERS 2016 is an event of international status, and is the eighth in the series. It is an event organised once every two years.
