SEREMBAN (April 12): A total of 2,215 properties worth over RM1.37 billion will be offered at competitive prices at the Malaysia Property Expo 2016 (Mapex 2016), reported Bernama.

The expo, organised by Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (Rehda) Negeri Sembilan, will be held from April 22-24 at Seremban Prima.

Rehda Negeri Sembilan chairman Jenny Wang Lee Peng said 21 developers would showcase an impressive line-up of commercial and residential properties.

"The visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the incentives offered, including attractive rebates, free legal fees and stamp duty, cash rebates, club house membership, umrah package for Bumiputera buyers, interest-free instalments of up to 36 months, electrical goods, lighting vouchers and security services, among others," she said at a press conference today.

The theme of this year’s expo, “Home Ownership Through Smart Financing”, reflects the innovative schemes coming into the market for buyers to take advantage of, she said.

She added that Rehda was also in discussions with Bank Negara Malaysia to encourage banks to be more flexible in providing loans, especially to first-time home buyers.

“Mapex, being a one-stop centre, has helped many to own properties. Though the market has been slow, this should be viewed as an opportunity by house buyers to get the best pick of the houses for the best price," she said.
