SELANGOR (Oct 16): The Malaysia Property Expo (MAPEX) Property Showcase, organised by Rehda Youth and held at 1Utama Shopping Centre in Bandar Utama, is anticipating sales of RM20 million. The showcase opened its doors on Wednesday, Oct 14 and will end on Sunday, Oct 18. 

There are 30 developers showcasing their products such as PJ Development Holdings Bhd, Dolomite Properties Sdn Bhd and Ken Holdings Bhd.

The organisers expect a turnout of 10,000 visitors, who will get the opportunity to view residential properties located in Johor Bahru, Perak, Seremban, Cyberjaya and the Klang Valley.

Speeches by Rehda Youth MAPEX organising chairwoman Carrie Fong and Rehda MAPEX organising chairman Datuk Ng Seing Liong are expected on Sunday during the closing ceremony, as well as prizes for categories such as “best booth design”.

There are also special competitions such as the “stamps and win” prize, where a successful collection of 10 stamps earns visitors RM10 worth of OneCard UPoints; and “catch and win” for visitors who spend a minimum of RM1,000, giving them a chance to catch as many cash tickets as they can in five seconds, with up to RM10,000 worth of OneCard UPoints as  reward.

A range of activities such as children’s talent contest, children’s colouring contest, 12,000-balloon giveaway, photo booths and a lucky draw will also cater to families. Mask-changing performances and magic shows will also be held over the weekend.

Rehda Youth will also be donating RM20,000 raised at the property exhibition to three orphanages.

The showcase is open from 10am to 10pm daily, with activities carried out on Level G Highstreet near Parkson and the Rainforest.
