SUBANG JAYA (April 9): MCT Consortium Bhd will officially launch the first phase of its debut township Cybersouth on April 25. The first phase is divided into three sub-phases, with 28-acre GreenCasa (pictured) being the first.

GreenCasa was soft launched earlier this year and has since sold 50% of its units.

“This is a significant milestone for the group as Cybersouth is the group’s first township since we ventured into property development,” said MCT group marketing manager Ong Soo Hoon during a media briefing recently.

“This township requires great commitment to ensure that the project will do well, and we believe that with the success of this township, it will definitely strengthen our brand name," said Ong.

Cybersouth sits on 417 acres of leasehold land and is located about 1.5km from Cyberjaya. The township will be developed over a period of eight to 10 years.

The gated and guarded GreenCasa has a gross development value of RM200 million.

It will comprise 418 units of two-storey terraced houses with land areas of 18 ft by 65 ft, 20 ft by 65 ft, 22 ft by 65 ft, and built-ups of between 1,545 sq ft and 1,913 sq ft. The selling price of the units start from RM484,000. GreenCasa is due for completion in 2018.

“A lot of the buyers are actually from Cyberjaya. Employees of multinational companies choose to stay near Cyberjaya because there are not many affordable landed residential [homes] in Cyberjaya,” said MCT development director, K K Lim.

Lim noted that the group plans to build affordable apartments and superlinks for the other two sub-parcels within the first phase.
