Selangor Dredging BhdPETALING JAYA (Feb 24): Selangor Dredging Bhd (SDB) will be focusing on the sales of its property projects that are currently under construction as it seeks to maintain the strength of its strong balance sheet this year, the group said in a press statement today.

The group will especially focus on its SqWhere project in Sungai Buloh which comprises small office/versatile offices (SOVO) and retail offices with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM277 million.

Although the property market is soft, the group is confident of the SqWhere project due to its strategic location, said SDB managing director Teh Lip Kim.

“There is a direct connection from SqWhere to the upcoming Kampung Selamat MRT station, and several major highways connect to the project, which enhances connectivity,” she added.

Meanwhile, SDB will also be launching various sales schemes with the support of an expanded team to encourage take-ups in a soft market.

According to the press statement, the company has decided to withhold the launch of new developments and proceed with development planning for future undertakings.

The group’s other focus will be in the areas of gaining pre-approvals and permits for construction, improving quality of products and services as well as further developing ancillary services.

Moving forward, SDB will be introducing more green features such as the implementation of energy saving components (solar panels and LED lightings) in common areas.

These green features are present in Wisma Selangor Dredging on Jalan Ampang and 20trees, the development in Melawati, Kuala Lumpur, which have been installed with the LED lightings, said the developer.

SDB has also added a new service of extended lease options to include not only long-term, but also short-term stays for selected developments under its support service, Home Owner Support Team (SDB HOST), which also includes services such as renovation packages, sub sales, tenancy, property care and more.
