PETALING JAYA (Aug 27): Sunway Bhd was voted as Malaysia’s best brand in property and entertainment categories at the Putra Brand Awards 2015, Sunway said in a statement today.
This is Sunway’s second consecutive gold award in the property development category and the first silver for Sunway Lagoon in the entertainment category, the group noted.
“This second gold award is a testament to our efforts in brand-building through co-investing with our customers and stakeholders. With your continued support and encouragement, we will continue to thrive in delivering quality products and offerings,” said Sunway property investment division managing director Datuk Ngeow Voon Yean.
Meanwhile, the Sunway Lagoon theme park received the Best Entertainment silver award in the entertainment category.
“We are proud to win this award as Sunway Lagoon is one of the key players contributing to the tourism industry and we will continuously strive to be a destination brand that focuses on customer-centricity,” said Sunway Theme Parks senior general manager Calvin Ho.
Sunway and Viacom International Media Networks Asia are collaborating to bring in Asia’s First Nickelodeon Themed Land, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, set to open at Sunway Lagoon later this year.
Into its sixth year, the Putra Brand Awards identifies Malaysia’s favourite brands by surveying over 6,000 consumers on their preferences.
The top brands in 24 categories will take home the gold, silver and bronze awards.
