Overview

Pagoh is a town in the Muar district in the state of Johor.  Accessibility to Pagoh is possible via one of the main interchanges on the North-South Expressway, which is the major expressway connecting the states on the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia.

Property Developments

In 2011, Sime Darby Property inaugurated the development of the 4,142 acre Bandar Universiti Pagoh (BUP). BUP will be located off the Pagoh interchange along the North-South Expressway and approximately 1 kilometre west of Pagoh town, and the development of BUP has an estimated timeframe of between 10 to 15 years.

The first phase which encompasses 531 acres of residential and commercial development is known as the Pagoh Higher Education Hub (PHEH), which was conceived to be a world-class education hub. This phase sees the integration of a township with institutions of higher learning. Upon its completion, PHEH is expected to create thousands of jobs. In this phase, four institutions of higher education which are University Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, the International Islamic University Malaysia and Politeknik Pagoh are currently being developed and are poised to open their doors in 2016.

All buildings in PHEH will be built with sustainability at the forefront of the blueprints to ensure they minimize their impact on the profiles of their surroundings and the existing communities; the true hallmark of a world-class education hub.
