Kepong is strategically located about 12 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur city centre and 10 kilometres from Petaling Jaya. It is a highly sought after residential area due to the spreading concept of a balanced lifestyle. Geographically, Kepong is surrounded by 600 hectares of pristine forest land.

Property Developments

Desa ParkCity, one of the highly-regarded hybrid projects in Kuala Lumpur, has drawn wide attention due to its efforts in building an all-rounded community with a green touch. It is located just beside Kepong. Other notable residential areas are Taman Bukit Maluri, Kepong Lama, Kepong Baru, Bandar Manjalara, Bandar Sri Damansara and Jinjang.

Accessibility and Transportation

Accessibility is good as there is Jalan Kepong that extends to the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Damansara-Puchong Expressway that runs north-south, Jalan Ipoh leads to the city centre and the North-South Highway, as well as Penchala Link that provides easy access to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya. There are two train stations on the commuter's Rawang-Seremban route, namely the Kepong KTM station and Kepong Sentral KTM station. RapidKL and other operators provide reliable bus services to Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas. Despite all these, the traffic congestion is still bad due to the rapid development. To ease traffic congestion, there will be 3 MRT stations from the MRT Line 2 in Kepong - Kepong Sentral, Metro Prima and Kepong Baru scheduled for completion by 2021. The non-landed residential properties around the stations - First Residence, Fortune Avenue, Mutiara Magna and Suria Magna, have seen an increase in property price and rental rates. Most of the properties in the area are old, landed house that are sold fairly quickly.
