Overview

Pandan Indah is a major township located between Ampang and Cheras, and is governed by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ). Some notable residential area include Pandan Jaya, Taman Shamelin Perkasa and Taman Maluri.

Property Types

It is a prime area due to its proximity to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, about 10 minutes away, fairly affordable housing choices and township amenities. It is a township of mixed developments, with condominiums, services apartments, duplex apartments, double-storey terrace house and retail lots from various developers. Some houses are on freehold land whilst others are on leasehold land.

Accessibility and Transportation

It can be accessible by a number of major expressways, namely the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Ampang-Hulu Kelang Expressway (AKLEH), Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) and other main roads that service the area, namely Jalan Pandan Indah, Jalan Ampang and Jalan Pandan Jaya. The extension of Besraya’s Lebuhraya Sungai Besi has helped to ease the traffic from the rather congested Jalan Pandan Indah. For public transport, there is the Pandan Indah LRT station and RapidKL buses.

Amenities and Facilities

Some public amenities available are Mid-Point Shopping Centre, AEON Jusco, Tesco Ampang, Fiesta, 1Shamelin and various retails shops, schools and clinics. Pandan Indah is well known for food, from hawkers to resturants carrying local, Korea and Thai fares. Some famous ones include Kow Siew Sang Har Mee (fresh water prawns in eggy noodles), New Twenty-twenty Kopitiam, Udon-ya San, Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee, Kheong Kee Bak Kut Teh, Aroy-Aroy Thai and Fougasse Boulangerie & Patisserie.
