Lam Wah Ee Hospital is the nearest hospital and the nearest clinic would be located at Medan Angsana 1, which is just a 3 minutes’ drive away. Schools such as SJK (C) Chiao Nan, SMK Air Itam and SK Seri Indah are positioned a mere 300 meters away from Desa Intan, making it a great strategic spot. Desa Intan is accessible through Lebuhraya Thean Teik or even Jalan Thean Teik itself. Residents are also within close distance to public transportations like the Air Itam Rapid Penang Bus Hub. However residents have to be aware that traffic along those two aforementioned roads are moderate to heavy, and it is expected to increase as more properties are developed in the future. For those intending to head to the city, it is about a 6 km away and roads leading there are usually highly congested. Desa Intan is quite strategically located with schools, amenities and cost being attractive factors. Those who frequent the city a lot may be put off by the distance and congestion.
