Review
Once a stalled and abandoned project known as Platinum Damansara, a mixed development in Ara Damansara, was given a new lease of life when Newfields Property Management Sdn. Bhd. stepped in to revived the dilapidated project in 2015. The project was accordingly renamed as Maisson. To revive the project, the development was restructured and reconfigured to make it more viable. The 8.9-acre Maisson now offers 1,247 serviced residences over five residential blocks with built ups ranging between 500 sq. ft. and 1,385 sq. ft. The reconfiguration also saw new facilities such as a 50m infinity pool, 2.3-acre landscaped deck and sky garden, a multipurpose hall and a children’s playscape being included in the development. With the new reconfiguration, the existing buyers were asked to top up approximately 25% from their original property price which they purchased in 2004. This increase in cost was justified by the developer in a more functional layout and quality materials used in the project. According to the developer, the development emphasises on the multi-generation and communal living and targets families and homeowners. There are also 40,000 sq. ft. of retail spaces to cater the residents’ needs. Our verdict
The recently completed Maisson has received much needed love and care after being previously abandoned to become bigger and better. The development offers the concept of multi-generation and communal living – a traditional value with a modern twist. If you desire these values while being located in an upcoming and area, this development would do nicely as one of your considered options.
