Taman Seri Murni is one of the many low cost apartments centrally located in Selayang, surrounded by numerous housing developments. Catering to the lower income bracket, these homes are reasonably well maintained. There were however much complaints about Taman Seri Murni in the year 2009, where residents were extremely upset about the lack of security, the rising number of foreigners living at the apartment, vandalism and stolen cars. Many of the residents also complained about the lack of maintenance with lifts that do not working regularly as well as the guardhouse that is not manned. With complaints of residents not paying their water bills and then stealing their neighbour’s water when their supply has been cut, Taman Seri Murni becomes a very unattractive place to live in.
