PETALING JAYA (Aug 13): United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand) has launched the RM333 million Suasana Iskandar Malaysia (Suasana IM) in the Johor Baru city centre today.

Sitting on a 1.42-acre freehold site, Suasana IM is a mixed development which comprises a serviced residence named Suasana Iskandar JB, the first 5-star Amari Hotel in Malaysia and a retail podium named Zenith Lifestyle Centre, said the developer in a press release.

Suasana IM is an integral part of the city’s progress as a modern, vibrant, and culturally-rich city in line with the state government’s Johor Baru Transformation (JBT) Programme.

In addition to being centrally located along Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Suasana IM is situated next to Sungai Segget, which is undergoing a revitalisation project carried out by the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) in line with the JBT programme.

The 35-storey Suasana Iskandar JB serviced apartment consists of 339 serviced apartments that come with the latest in smart home technology in partnership with Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

With built-ups from 644 sq ft to 1,235 sq ft, the units will be priced from RM1,100 psf.

Meanwhile, the Amari Hotel will offer the finest in Thai hospitality with its 242 rooms, Breeze Spa, the Amaya Food Gallery and creative meeting venues.

The 2-storey Zenith Lifestyle Centre, situated in the podium of Suasana IM, has a floor area of 55,000 sq ft. It is the first lifestyle hub in Johor Baru 'scity centre which showcases curated international retail, F&B, and entertainment experiences right on the newly-landscaped streetscape of Jalan Wong Ah Fook.

UMLand added that Suasana IM is within short walking distance from JB Sentral, which houses northbound and southbound trains; the CIQ at the causeway to Singapore; the 5-minute Tebrau Shuttle train to Singapore, and the upcoming Rapid Transit System at Bukit Chagar which will enable mass volume commuting between Johor Baru and Singapore.
