PKR turmoil: Dr M says he has other things to think about

PUTRAJAYA (July 18): Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad does not want to be dragged into PKR’s ongoing turmoil as he is busy with other things.

"I don't have to think about this. I have lots of other things to think about, including answering your questions," he said when asked by the media if the problem in PKR is a liability to Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He had earlier launched the Respons Rakyat (RR 2.0) smart phone application and chairing a meeting of the Special Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption, here, today.

When asked if the ongoing problem in PKR is a burden to PH, Dr Mahathir said: "That is for you to make an assessment, thank you.”

Asked if the turmoil in PKR would delay the handover of power of  the  prime minister, he said: "That is in the future. We will come to that when we cross the future.”

The heat is on in PKR when today 23 members of the party’s central committee jointly rebuked president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for suggesting his deputy, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali needed to resign as minister over an ongoing sex scandal.
