Zuraida undergoes self-quarantine

PUTRAJAYA (Oct 1): Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamarudin (pictured) is undergoing a 14-day self-quarantine at her residence despite tested negative for Covid-19 twice.

Her political secretary Nor Hizwan Ahmad said Zuraida underwent a swab test at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) after campaigning in the Sabah state election on Sept 26, and the result was negative.

The following day (Sept 27), Zuraida attended a programme in Langkawi in the morning and returned to Kuala Lumpur in evening.

On Sept 28, Zuraida attended the Malaysia Urban Forum programme in Kuala Lumpur.

“After being informed that there was a positive case of COVID-19 in the programme in Langkawi, she (Zuraida) again underwent a swab test on Sept 29 and the result was also negative,” he said in a statement today.

Nor Hizwan said Zuraida is currently undergoing self-quarantine for 14 days as recommended by the Ministry of Health.
