KUALA LUMPUR: AmanahRaya-REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, manager of AmanahRaya REIT has proposed to acquire two properties from Amanah Raya Bhd, trustee for Kumpulan Wang Bersama.

According to its filing to Bursa on Jan 15 via ECM Libra Investment Bank Bhd, the first property is the proposed acquisition of a 4-acre leasehold land in Bandar Selayang which includes the 6-storey Selayang Mall with a basement level for RM128 million. The building is 13 years old, with a gross floor area of 861,530 sq ft. It is currently leased to Seal Incorporated Bhd for a lease period that expires in 2016.

The other proposed acquisition is a 13-storey stratified building, known as Dana 13, part of Dana 1 Commercial Centre, in Petaling Jaya, for RM99 million. Dana 13, with a gross floor area of 333,438 sq ft, has been leased to Symphony House Bhd, via a lease agreement for a period of 10 years, which commenced on Sept 1, 2009.

AmanahRaya REIT has also proposed placement of new units in AmanahRaya REIT to raise proceeds of RM119 million, as well as to increase existing approved fund size of the REIT of 431,553,191 units accordingly.
