KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 19): Berjaya Land Bhd's (BLand) wholly-owned unit Berjaya Kyoto Development Kabushiki Kaisa (Berjaya Kyoto) will manage the Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts in Kyoto, Japan.

In a statement on Wednesday, the group said the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto will be its signature and flagship development in Japan, spanning five acres with an estimated built-up area of 8,106 sq m.

It will feature a banquet hall, restaurants, bar, swimming pool, fitness gym and other amenities. The hotel will be within the Higashiyama-ku area.

"It is our hope that the expertise that Four Seasons brings to this development will complement such a rich tradition in hospitality, therefore crafting an experience that is unrivalled. We are confident that this Hotel will be one of the most iconic in the world on completion,” said Tan Sri Datuk Sri Vincent Tan in a statement.

“Finding the right partners who share our vision, at the right time and in the right place is always our goal. We are truly honored to be part of this project, and share our partners’ optimism for a successful future together,” added Scott Woroch, executive director of Berjaya Land.
