KUALA LUMPUR: Listed property developer Bolton Bhd has changed its name to Symphony Life Bhd.

The change of name is the first phase of the company’s transformation exercise that is expected to complete by the year-end.

Executive chairman Tan Sri Azman Yahya said: “As the company enters into its 50th year, it will be getting a new lease of life as it undergoes a total transformation exercise.”

“The change we want to bring with Symphony Life is not merely in the name, logo, brand promise or appearance of our website.

“The change we envision is to create a new chapter by enhancing our performance and renewing our commitment to all stakeholders,” he said in a statement.

In another development, Symphony Life said the first phase of its Mayang land integrated mixed development, a 50:50 joint venture with United Malayan Land Bhd, is on track for launch in July.

Located on freehold land at the intersection of Jalan Mayang and Jalan Yap Kwan Seng in Kuala Lumpur, the project is expected to take six years to complete and generate a gross development value of RM1.8 billion. — Bernama
