TEMERLOH: Owners of idle land in the state have been advised to let the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (FELCRA) takes over their land to be developed.
Pahang Islamic Propagation and Special Task Committee chairman Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad said this was because the owners would only suffer bigger losses if the land were left unused.
"I would like to call on idle land owners to let Felcra carry out profitable projects on those land," he told reporters after opening the annual general meeting of Kampung Loyang and Kampung Peragap Felcra participants here today.
Syed Ibrahim said he was confident that such move will benefit the owners as Felcra had vast experience of developing over 20,000 hectares of idle land and swamps in Pahang.
Hence, he also called on all Village Development and Security Committees to collect all data on idle land and swamps in their areas and convene meetings with Felcra for development. - Bernama
