KUALA LUMPUR: An injunction from the court has stopped and restrained Bukit Jalil Development Sdn Bhd, a 70%-owned subsidiary of Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd, from selling or continuing any tender exercise to sell a piece of freehold land in Mukim of Petaling, Kuala Lumpur.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Dec 14, Magna Prima said the injunction granted to its wholly owned subsidiary, Permata Juang (M) Sdn Bhd, stops and/or restrains Bukit Jalil Development with immediate effect from disposing the land parcel until the completion of the trial of a legal suit filed against Bukit Jalil for specific performance of the sale and purchase transaction vide the sale and purchase agreement dated March 2 this year.

It also stops and/or restrains Bukit Jalil Development with immediate effect from continuing with the tender exercise for the purpose of selling the land to a third party.

The court has also awarded costs in favour of Permata Juang to be paid by Bukit Jalil within 14 days from the date hereof.
