RAWANG (June 5): Guocoland Malaysia is set to launch Emerald Garden over the weekend with a bang. The property arm of Hong Leong Group, it is launching its latest product, which features 2- and 2½-storey superlink houses, in conjunction with the Emerald Gardens Party at the Emerald Sales Gallery on Saturday.

The 161 homes will reside within a 1,000-acre township, which will — according to the group — "will set a new benchmark for up-market landed properties, leveraging on the growing demand for such properties and appeal of Emerald as a township of choice in Rawang".

The tropical garden-concept homes come in three wide frontage designs with landscaping. The 2-storey design measures 26ftx80ft, with a built-up area of 2,990 sq ft. The 2½-storey units measure 24ftx80ft and 26ftx80ft, with built-up areas starting from 3,585 sq ft. Selling prices start from RM808,800.

"We have redefined the two key compelling features, by offering the biggest superlink and carefully-planned layouts homes in Rawang, catering to the different needs of today’s sophisticated home buyers," said director of marketing and sales Pam Loh. "To date, we have sold over 80% of our pre-launch release. More units will be released on Saturday."

Some of the features of the homes include a 5+1 bedroom minimum configuration, all bedrooms coming with attached bathrooms and 24-hour guarded homes with perimeter fencing. Furthermore, a linear park landscaped for residents to walk will also be included on the grounds.

The area is close to the newly-opened AEON shopping centre and a Chinese school. In the future a new McDonald's outlet and private school will open. Ongoing upgrading of Jalan Batu Arang and accessibility via the North-South Highway, New Klang Valley Expressway and the Guthrie Corridor Expressway makes getting to Emerald Gardens easier. It is 20-minutes drive from the Jalan Duta and Damansara Toll. Moreover, Rawang has amenities such as banks, post-offices, restaurants, hypermarkets and KTM Komuter Station.
