SHAH ALAM: I-Bhd has released the East Wing of its i-Residence in i-City, Shah Alam after selling all 173 units in the West Wing in three months.

The serviced residence project, designed by Singapore-based Architects 61, features a fusion of eco-modern landscapes with lifestyle recreational facilities.

The developer is releasing 116 family units of 1,140 to 1,361 sq ft, 57 units tower units sized between 715 and 754 sq ft, and 20 duplex and triplex villas.

The 2,400 sq ft duplex villas come with a private lanai garden while the 3,700 sq ft villas feature two master bedrooms, with its rooftop master bedroom stepping out to a private sky garden with a view of the city skyline.

Owners will have direct access from the basement car park through a private lift to each level. The East Wing suites are sold at about 7% to 10% higher than the West Wing launch price of RM382,000 onwards.

I-Bhd director Monica Ong said the gated and guarded i-Residence is the only fully-residential block within the 72-acre i-City.

“More people now appreciate that i-City is indeed an international business hub with a cosmopolitan lifestyle to match. It is permitted to operate on a 24/7 basis and has been endorsed as a 24-hour tourist destination,” said Ong who owns a duplex villa at I-Residence herself.

The RM5 billion i-City is also a MSC Cybercentre as well as a world reference site for Cisco’s Smart+Connected Community (CSCC). i-City was designed as a fully integrated intelligent city, comprising corporate, leisure and residential components including  a one million sq ft regional shopping mall, office towers, Cybercentre office suites, hotels, apartments, data centres and innovation centre.

World-renowned urban-planning firm, Jerde Partnership, is the master planner of i-City. California-based Jerde is well known for the success of Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, among others.

According to I-Bhd, real estate experts have confirmed that property prices in Shah Alam have climbed steadily over the last five years.

The contributory factors include highway accessibility, spillover effects from the rise of property prices in Subang Jaya, Glenmarie, Bukit Jelutong and Kota Kemuning, and more industry players emerging into the area.

It added that the completion of the New Klang Valley Expressway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway and the widening of roads are contributing factors as well and will continue to enhance the population growth and increase the property prices in Shah Alam in the next few years.

“With our on-going development and new mall coming onto the scene, we are confident that i-City will be an iconic city along the Federal Highway,” said Ong.

The East Wing suites are selling at 7% to 10% higher than the West Wing.
