Ireka unit bags RM249m contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Ireka Corp Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Ireka Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM249.5 million contract from Urban DNA Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the contract is for the construction and completion of superstructure works for the development of serviced residences and a hotel.

“The contract period shall be 39 months, commencing on Oct 1, with the completion date on Dec 31, 2016.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Ireka Corp for the financial years ending March 31, 2014 onwards,” it said. — Bernama
