PETALING JAYA: Lanson Place Hospitality Management Ltd, a Hong Kong-based premium hospitality investment and management brand in Asia, unveiled its latest pride and joy — Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon serviced residences, in Kuala Lumpur on August 21.

Lanson Place executive director Karen Li and Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residences regional general manager Anson Chan launched the group's latest project.

Li said in her speech that the group will continue to focus and grow the Lanson Place brand as a pan-Asian brand, and explore investment and management opportunities mainly in gateway cities in the Asia-Pacific region.

"We are currently looking at markets in cities such as Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Phnom Penh, Chengdu and Guangzhou in China," she told The Edge Financial Daily, adding that the group might consider moving into the Australian market in the near future.

According to Li, the group is targeting 85% occupancy for Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon residences within a year.

"We are focused on growing by quality, not so much by quantity," Chan said.

He said the management is very selective of a project's location, and the birth of Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon serviced residences offer the epitome of luxury and sophisticated living, without compromising residential comfort and top-notch service that residents want when they are away from home.

Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon houses 150 serviced apartments and is designed by renowned Japanese designer Koichiro Ikebuchi of Atelier Mura Proprietary Ltd.

The one-to three-bedroom serviced residences are from 914 sq ft to 2,056 sq ft.

Published room rates start from RM968 per night. The group is offering an introductory rate from RM471, valid until Dec 31.

Each residence features an elegant interior with views of the city, a work area with modern amenities — including wireless Internet, iPod docking station, 30 TV channels with entertainment network plus DVD player, and a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer.

Among the amenities at Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon are a fully-equipped gymnasium, library, outdoor barbecue area, Internet centre and billiard area. There is a sky lounge on the 48th floor — 163 Lounge, where residents can enjoy unobstructed views of the KL Tower and Petronas Twin Towers.

Lanson Place is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wing Tai Properties Ltd, a public listed company in Hong Kong. The company manages nine properties (four of which Wing Tai has equity in) under the Lanson Place brand, comprising a boutique hotel in Hong Kong and high-end serviced apartments in Beijing, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

The group's next project, Lu Xiang Yuan serviced suites, in Shanghai, China, is scheduled to open in July next year.
