PETALING JAYA: Malaysian real estate agencies Metro Homes Sdn Bhd and Zerin Properties have won awards in the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2009 in association with CNBC Arabiya.

Metro Homes won in the “Best Real Estate Agency Website” category while Zerin Properties won the “Best Residential Website” category for its living@KLCC website (www.klcc-living.com). The awards ceremony will be held in Singapore in July.

Metro Homes director See Kok Loong said winning the award shows how far the agency has progressed since its inception in 1994.

“This award is a recognition for us and will encourage us to develop a better website for the property industry,” he said.

Its website (www.metrohomes.com) was set up in 1998. According to See, its website is updated daily and is integrated with SMS, email, Google Maps and video services. With 11 offices throughout the country, the real estate agency has 220 real estate negotiators.

Zerin Properties' living@KLCC website, a portal dedicated to properties in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) area was launched last year. According to Zerin, its website caters to the real estate needs of those seeking the vibrancy of KLCC living.

There are 21 categories in the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2009 which is part of the annual International Property Awards that began in 1995.

Later this year, top-scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards would then compete against other winning companies from Europe, the UK, the Americas and Arabia to emerge as the World’s Best in each category.
