PETALING JAYA: MK Land Bhd, the master developer of Damansara Perdana in Selangor will launch Phase 3 of The Rafflesia, its first landed property in the township, on Nov 7.

Speaking to theedgeproperty.com, its chief operating officer central region, Fatimah Wahab said some 32 semi-detached homes will be offered in this phase. To-date, some 13 units have been sold since the preview on Nov 5.

The RM100-million Rafflesia, which will be developed in four phases for 214 semi-detached homes, is slated for completion in 2015. A total of 116 units from The Rafflesia Phase 1 and 2, which was launched in March 2007 and August this year respectively, have been fully sold.

Some 24 out of 56 units in Phase 1 is scheduled for handing-over to buyers by February next year, while the rest by June next year.

In the 791-acre leasehold Damansara Perdana township, MK Land has allocated a 81-acre parcel known as the North West Corner, for landed homes. The Rafflesia, seated on the 27-acre parcel of the North West Corner, is targeting high net worth owner-occupiers, both local and foreign.

Upon the completion of The Rafflesia, MK Land plans to develop the adjacent Parcels A and B with higher-end landed properties in the next five years. The three parcels will see a total of 460 units.  It is also believed that some super high-end bungalows will be built at the highest point of Damansara Perdana. It will be a low-density project with only 20 strata-titled bungalow units.

More than 40% of Damansara Perdana has been developed with mainly highrise residential property. The township currently accommodates more than 20,000 residents.

Phase 1 of The Rafflesia will be completed soon
