MELBOURNE (Sept 25): S P Setia Bhd is flying Australia's world-renowned architect Karl Fender to Malaysia this weekend to talk about the giant Malaysian property developer's fabulous multi-million dollar development projects here.

Fender, a Harvard University Masters graduate, will be at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 29-30 to promote S P Setia's Fulton Lane development in Melbourne which he says will be a "development of distinction".

The founding director of Fender Katsalidis Archtects, Fender told Bernama Fulton Lane is among his prestigious list of achievements, which includes the iconic 88-storey Eureka Tower here, the tallest residential building in the Southern Hemisphere.

A man with great creative talent, depth of experience and wisdom, Fender will be in Kuala Lumpur to share his genesis of "Fulton Lane" and his vision for this outstanding development which will have superior green credentials.

Construction has started on the Fulton Lane project which comprises two towers with 778 apartments sitting atop a fully integrated mixed-use podium with a vibrant retail precinct.

Fulton Lane is within the Melbourne Central Business District and close to the famous Queen Victoria Market. It is also a short walk to both the University of Melbourne and RMIT University as well as some of the city's best restaurants and cafes. Trains, trams and buses are all close by.

S P Setia, one of Malaysia's largest property developers, has enlarged its footprint in the Australian market and secured a development pipeline with the purchase of its second prime site on the prestigious tree-lined St Kilda Road, Australia's premier boulevard.

It is offering buyers at Fulton Lane an interest rate earn of 10% on the part purchase price paid towards the units.

"Purchasers will earn interest on the part purchase price paid, which is a first for any company. Bank interest rate on deposits in Australia is currently about 4% per annum," said Jeffrey Ong, S P Setia sales and marketing manager.
