KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 22): SENI Mont'Kiara has recently won the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012 in the Residential High Rise Development category.

The luxury condo project in Mont'Kiara, Kuala Lumpur is developed by Amatir Resources Sdn Bhd (a member of London-listed Aseana Properties Ltd), and project managed by Ireka Development Management Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Main Board-listed Ireka Corporation Bhd).

"We are indeed honoured that SENI Mont'Kiara has received recognition from the Asia Pacific Property Awards," said Ireka Development Management president and CEO Lai Voon Hon in a statement on Wednesday. "When we conceptualised SENI Mont'Kiara, we approached it as one might in producing an art, with room for appreciation in value. As the name suggests, the development is a masterpiece borne from the best architectural, landscaping and designer lifestyle concepts."

The project comprises four residential towers (two high-rise 40-storey blocks and two 12-storey low-rise blocks) that house a total of 605 units that spans over 8.8 acres with more than half of the land area allocated for the outdoors. In keeping with the development's art theme, each tower is named after renowned artists: Van Gogh, Picasso, Dali and Monet. Unit sizes range from 2,347 sq ft to 3,714 sq ft.

Facilities and features include two Olympic-length pools and a 2.3 acre modern tropical landscape by award-winning landscape architect Karl Princic. The development also houses a 3,800 sq ft cutting-edge fitness centre with aerobics, cardio/free-weight and training area; a spa; a rooftop tai-chi station; and steam and sauna rooms.

The units come fully air-conditioned units, private lift lobbies and three car parking bays. They are also building walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms appointed with marble and stone.

The award criteria focuses on the development's location, concept and finishing, security, sustainability, innovations as well as marketing aspects.

The top scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012 will compete against other winners from Europe, the UK, Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the ultimate World's Best in each category. The International Property Awards will be held on Apr 27 in Kuala Lumpur.
