Subang Central 1’s commercial component sees 90% take-up

KUALA LUMPUR: The commercial component of the mixed Subang Central 1 development in Subang, Selangor, has achieved a 90% take-up rate, according to developer Gaya Irama Development Sdn Bhd.

Featuring 48 units of shops, project development manager K C Ang said in a statement that several banks also intend to set up branch offices at the 3.95-acre, RM45-million project, located in Pekan Subang. The shops measure are from 994 sq ft to 2,678 sq ft and are selling from RM388,000 to RM950,000, according to Ang.

Meanwhile, the residential component saw a 50% take-up rate two weeks after the project’s soft launch in July, he said. There are 114 units of apartments and penthouses, with the apartments measuring 672 sq ft to 2,561 sq ft.

Prices range from RM148,000 for a 3-bedroom apartment to RM777,725 for a 5-room penthouse unit.

The units spot modern duplex apartment concepts, which have two floors to a unit instead of the standard single floor, Ang said.

Other features include closed-circuit television (CCTV), multiple access security system and 400 car park bays, including public bays, he added.

The residential project is slated for completion in August next year while development of the commercial portion is in progress.

“Subang Central 1 boasts a scenic view of the Sky Park Subang Terminal runway and connectivity to various major highways,” says Ang.

The project is a privatisation deal with the Selangor state government, which sees the state taking partial ownership of the land. Gaya Irama Development won the right to develop the land parcel in July 2007.
