PETALING JAYA: Tropicana Golf & Country Resort in Petaling Jaya, Selangor will soon see its first high-end condominium development – the RM540-million Tropicana Grande.

Its master developer Dijaya Corporation Bhd soft-launched the high-end development on Dec 11, 2009 and saw a take-up of 30% so far, its managing director Datuk Tong Kien Onn told theedgeproperty.com.

The modern-contemporary development, which sits on a 5.17-acre leasehold land, will be officially launched during the first quarter of next year. Construction will begin this month and scheduled for completion by December 2012.

With all units fronting golf course, it offers 300 units in four blocks of 38-and 39-storeys high. With only two units per floor, the built-ups of typical units range from 2,283 sq ft to 3,666 sq ft; while the duplex units have built-up pf 4,687 sq ft; duplexes at the pool deck is sized at 4,770 sq ft while duplex penthouses have sizes of 5,800 sq ft.

These units are tagged from RM1.3 million, or at an average of RM588 psf. Maintenance fees are 35 sen psf. The retail area of 40,000 sq ft will be leased out.

Targeting businessmen and professionals with niche requirements, facilities provided include a 50-metre swimming pool, wading pool, cabana, tennis courts and par course. It also has 1,017 parking bays.
