KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer, UEM Sunrise Bhd is looking at a mid-November launch for the DUO Residences project in Singapore . The project is developed by M+S Pte Ltd.

As project manager in charge of marketing for the project, UEM Sunrise will  hold the sales launch concurrently in Malaysia and Singapore.

The launch is set to take place in its recently opened show gallery in Plaza Mont’Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia and from a corresponding show gallery in Singapore.

“We have staff from UEM Sunrise stationed in M+S’ office to do the marketing in Singapore,” said Kemmy Tan, chief operating officer of M+S, at the opening of the show gallery last Friday.

Designed by internationally acclaimed architect, Ole Scheeren, DUO Residences is a 49-storey tower which forms part of a larger DUO integrated development project on a site measuring approximately 287,000 sq ft.

The second, 39-storey tower in the integrated development project houses prime Grade A office space, a five-star hotel and a retail gallery set in a park-like environment.

The residential offerings include studios, 1- to 4-bedroom apartments and penthouses with a price range between RM2.5 million and RM11 million which come fitted with imported European fittings and appliances.

Nestled between the Central Business District on the Beach Road-Ophir Rochor corridor and the Bugis cultural district, and served by two mass rapid transit (MRT) lines, the DUO has much to offer in terms of connectivity and convenience.

“This is the first integrated development with two MRT stations so we are very confident that the project will do well, also backed by two very strong stakeholders,” Tan said.

The project is currently in its pre-launch stage and has already seen keen interest from Singaporeans, Malaysians and foreign investors. The project is scheduled for completion in 2017.

M+S Pte Ltd, the developer for the project, is a 60:40 joint development between Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Temasek Ltd that was set up in  June 2011 to develop four land parcels in Marina South and two land parcels in Ophir-Rochor in Singapore as integrated developments Marina One and DUO respectively.
