A former director of Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd (CZCSB) told the Sessions Court on Friday (July 21) that it was impossible for a RM2 million payment to have made its way to Lim Guan Eng, when he had been initially told it was paid via businessman G Gnanaraja to then prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, in order for the company to maintain close ties with Najib.

Former Consortium Zenith BUCG senior VP says Zarul informed him of bribing Guan Eng

Subcontractor in 8 Conlay project obtains interim injunction against Grand Dynamic Builders

The High Court on Friday (May 12) granted an air conditioning subcontractor of the 8 Conlay project an injunction against Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd (GDBSB) to restrain the company or its directors or other officers from issuing a demand pursuant to a Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd letter of guarantee dated March 8, 2021, until the final disposal of its arbitral proceedings.

Apex court rules sensitive hill top or hill slope development projects need National Physical Planning Council approval

The Federal Court had on Friday (Jan 20) in a landmark decision ruled that for any hill top or hill slope development projects which are designated as environmentally sensitive in a development plan, approval has to be gained from the National Physical Planning Council (NPPC) as stipulated under Section 22(2A)(c) of the Town and Country Planning Act 2001 (TCPA).
