LANGKAWI: Archipelago Hotels and Resorts Sdn Bhd (AHRSB), a new niche player in the high-end luxury hotel and resorts market, has been appointed to manage the iconic luxury resort The Datai Langkawi, effective Thursday, July 28.

KUALA LUMPUR: The new major shareholder of Pulai Springs Bhd wants to privatise the Johor-based golf course operator, said sources close to the company.

Housing developer fined RM10,000 for stealing water

SHAH ALAM: A housing developer was fined RM10,000 by the Sessions Court here on Thursday, July 28 for installing an illegal water connection three years ago.

Judge Aslam Zainuddin handed down the sentence to Syarikat Bina Mandat Sdn Bhd after its director Chew Koh Wah pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 123 of the Water Services Industry Act 2006.
