Asia-Pacific’s commercial real estate slowdown continues

KUALA LUMPUR: Asia-Pacific commercial real estate investments fell for a second consecutive quarter, declining in value by 37% to US$25 billion (RM73.75 billion) in 2Q11, according to DTZ Research’s Investment Market Update report. Activity slowed in all countries with double-digit declines from 1Q11.

Housing developer fined RM10,000 for stealing water

SHAH ALAM: A housing developer was fined RM10,000 by the Sessions Court here on Thursday, July 28 for installing an illegal water connection three years ago.

Judge Aslam Zainuddin handed down the sentence to Syarikat Bina Mandat Sdn Bhd after its director Chew Koh Wah pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 123 of the Water Services Industry Act 2006.
