UAE property developer files for bankruptcy, reports FT

DUBAI: Al Murjan Real Estate, developer of a US$3 billion housing project in the United Arab Emirates, has filed for bankruptcy after running into financial difficulties, the Financial Times reported on Nov 24.

Daiman net profit up 19.6% to RM12.8m for 1Q

KUALA LUMPUR: Daiman Development Bhd's net profit rose 19.6% to RM12.8 million for its first quarter (1Q) ended Sept 30, 2010, from RM10.7 million on sale of properties and building materials.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Nov 23, the group posted slightly lower revenue of RM35.4 million, compared with RM35.9 million a year ago.

Perak Corp net profit up to RM3.6m for 3Q

KUALA LUMPUR: Perak Corporation Bhd's net profit crept up to RM3.6 million for the third quarter (3Q) ended Sept 30, 2010, from RM3.3 million a year ago despite lower revenue, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Nov 23.

Its revenue fell to RM21.13 million from RM23.44 million a year ago.

KSL Holdings 3Q net profit up 13.9% to RM15.57m

KUALA LUMPUR: KSL Holdings Bhd has posted a net profit of RM15.57 million for its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2010, up 13.9% from RM13.6 million a year ago despite lower revenue.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Nov 23, the group posted revenue of RM40.4 million, down 26% from RM54.6 million.

Its earnings per share stood at 4.03 sen from 3.88 sen a year ago.

KLCC Property Holdings net profit up to RM65.68m for 2Q

Gopeng Bhd posts net loss of RM51.3m in 3Q

KUALA LUMPUR: Gopeng Bhd has posted a net loss of RM51.3 million for its third quarter (3Q) ended Sept 30, 2010 from a net profit of RM9.93 million a year ago, due to provision of impairment for its associate Perak-Hanjoong Simen Sdn Bhd.

It a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Nov 24, the group posted revenue of RM2.9 million, slipping from RM3.2 million a year ago.

Equine Capital net profit at RM6.27m for 2Q

KUALA LUMPUR: Equine Capital Bhd has posted a net profit of RM6.27 million for its second quarter (2Q) ended Sept 30, 2010, from a loss of RM2.08 million a year ago on higher revenue, it announced to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Nov 24.
