About Bandar Tasek Mutiara

Bandar Tasek Mutiara is a township located east of Simpang Ampat, Seberang Prai on Penang Mainland. Developed by Pembangunan Bandar Mutiara, the area is also known as Pearl City, referring to the small township which sits at the heart of Bandar Tasek Mutiara. Part of Pearl City is a jointly developed with Tambun Indah Group. The area offers both commercial and residential properties. Much of the township is developed in phases since year 2003. All the development are still ongoing within the centre and the edges of the township, where there are still undeveloped land banks. Bandar Tasek Mutiara has one primary school (SRK Bandar Tasek Mutiara) and one secondary school (SMK Bandar Tasek Mutiara). There is also a private school within the township called GEMS International School. The commercial hub of Bandar Tasek Mutiara sits in the middle of the township. The area is accessible via an oval-shaped ring road. Within this hub is the Pearl City Mall where the residents can enjoy dining at the many F&B outlets there as well as do grocery shopping at the local supermarket. For medical needs there is a pharmacy as well as private clinics inside the commercial hub. AEON Mall Bukit Mertajam and the Negeri Pulau Pinang Stadium is approximately 8 kilometres away. The presence of a purpose-built Balai Polis Bandar Tasek Mutiara ensures that the security of the area is given due attention. Bandar Tasek Mutiara easily accessible by the North South Highway via the Bukit Tambun Interchange, which is about 3km via Jalan Bukit Tambun. Meanwhile Rapid Penang provides an interstate bus service (No. 708) from Bukit Mertajam to Junjong, Kedah. This route passes through Bandar Tasek Mutiara as well as Pearl City Mall. The frequency of the bus service is dependent on the traffic conditions but the buses itself can be tracked via Rapid Penang iPlanner application, which can help commuters plan their journey. Rail services is via the Simpang Ampat town where there is a train station that connects commuters to the KTM ETS services that ply Padang Besar and Ipoh.
