Bandar Mahkota Cheras, located in district of Ulu Langat, Selangor, was established around the year 2000 by developer Narajaya Sdn Bhd.
This township, covering over 1000 acres, was considered as one of the desired location about a decade ago for KL housebuyers who were looking for affordable houses and for those who were aiming for a suburban lifestyle away from the city.
The neighbouring townships are Bandar Baru Sg Long, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn and Taman Cheras Vista.
Bandar Mahkota Cheras offers variety of properties, ranges from low cost flats to semi-detached villas. The township has a good balance between highrise and landed properties and currently has a population of more than 50,000 people with more than 50 per cent of Chinese residents.
The township a matured neighbourhood with plenty of amenities and facilities needed located within the township and in its vicinity.
Although price of properties have been appreciating since the launch of this township, Bandar Mahkota Cheras had its fair share with bad publicities over the years. The most talked about is the bad traffic condition, where residents have gone to the extent of calling the township not ideal for living. Residents also blames the lack of proper planning of the township.
Property prices at this freehold township is still considered at the affordable range and is expected to be appreciating with the MRT operations, which is expected to start this year.

Bandar Mahkota Cheras is strategically located with easy access to both Kuala Lumpur and Kajang. The township is accessible via North-South Highway (PLUS), Grand Saga Highway, BESRAYA highway, MRR 2, SILK Highway and LEKAS Highway.
The township also has two main dual carriageway roads, Persiaran Mahkota Cheras 1 and 2 running through BMC.
The nearest MRT stations from Bandar Mahkota Cheras are Batu Sebelas Cheras station, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn station and Bukit Dukung station. There are also bus services in the area.
