About Bayu Perdana

Located 5 minutes’ drive South-West of Klang, Bayu Perdana, is a bustling small township in the midst of other successful neighbourhoods. With Taman Chi liung, Bayu Tinggi, Sri Andalas and Pandamaran encircling it, this development, built in 1998, has seen its population grow to around 25,000. Once a matured palm oil plantation, it is now a busy commercial centre, and at the same time, a quiet residential area comprising double-storey houses, medium-class apartments and condominiums as well as low-cost flats. Its population is made-up roughly of 60% Chinese, 15% Indians, 6% Malays and 19% others are basically middleclass income earners comprising business owners, teachers, hospital staff, office and blue-collared workers (both local and foreign), etc. Crime rate is average with police cars patrolling quite constantly especially at night while police ‘pondoks’ are located at playgrounds in the housing section. Many factory and foreign workers stay in the flats at its Western-end while others live in the Prima Bayu, Vista Bayu and Vista Indah condominiums also. South of this thriving enclave are the flourishing Bayu Tinggi and Bandar Bukit Tinggi One townships which together with Sri Andalas’s and Bandar Bukit Tinggi Two’s commercial centres are truly the ‘life’ of South Klang. Its main road, Persiaran Pegaga, has been upgraded recently in 2016, with resurfaced roads, new road kerbs and newly planted palm trees, making it more pleasant and attractive. But unfortunately flooding at certain shop-lot areas happens sometimes due to blocked drains and inadequate drainage. Furthermore, the 3 and 4 storey shop-lots need repainting as some facades of these shop-lots have not been painted for ages or even not since they were first built before the new millennia. There are plenty of shop-lots, restaurants, small hotels, private clinics, banks, offices, boutiques, beauticians, hair salons, cake shops, tyre shops, car accessories shops, launderettes and, etc operating within this scheme. There are a number of playgrounds, football fields and open fields complete with jogging trails but are still lacking tall green trees except for the ‘belukar’ existing next to the condominium area. The roads within the housing section and servicing the condominiums and apartments are adequate but a bit narrow and without nature strips at many spots. But there are plenty of roadside parking bays in front of shop-lots although there is sometimes need for more at key points. There is a Caltex petrol station, Pizza Hut outlet, Nyonya restaurant, vegetarian pizza restaurant, Mediviron clinic and Maybank centre to name a few of the businesses that make Bayu Perdana the success it is, and, why Klangites from other nearby but less commercialized areas, are drawn to this area. To add to the convenience of the population of Bayu Perdana, there are many public schools nearby as well as the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah General Hospital, Manipal (Klang) and Pantai Puteri (Klang) Medical Centres just 2 to 3 minutes’ drive away. Accessibility to Bayu Perdana is convenient from the Port Klang Highway (Persiaran Raja Muda Musa) and Jalan Kim Chuan and Persiaran Tenku Ampuan Rahimah which are linked-up with or indirectly linked to Persiaran Pegaga the main avenue of Bayu Perdana. As a result, getting to and fro from Kuala Lumpur is easy as the KESAS highway can be reached from this area in 5 to 6 minutes. Furthermore the Port Klang Highway links up directly with the Federal Highway and is indirectly connected to the NKVE Highway. On the downside, there is no public transport servicing Bayu Perdana although there are public buses plying at nearby Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah regularly.
