Seksyen 7, Shah Alam, is an established matured residential and commercial township, known for its pleasant up-market surroundings and environment that is ideal for raising families. Located between Kuala Lumpur and more closely to Klang, it boasts of multiple amenities and facilities, lush greenery, and good roads. Development started in the 1970s, making Seksyen 7 a new separate addition to the original part of Shah Alam townships. It is strategically situated where its residents enjoy the convenience of quick access to Klang, Subang Jaya, other sections of Shah Alam, P.J., KL, and KLIA provided by the excellent network of roads and highways that link to it. Comprising bungalows, 2 storey terraced houses, semi-detached houses, apartments, flats, shop lots and various types of buildings, Seksyen 7 is a self-contained township that has seen its property values steadily appreciating over the years. It is peaceful and quiet, safe with low crime rates, and very clean, although traffic conditions can be quite congested during rush hours. The roads and avenues are wide, well maintained, neat and tidy, with trees lining them while nature strips are green and well curbed. There are open spaces and green buffer zones, with clumps of green trees at various spots, with a small lake and park along Jalan Kayangan. Malays are the majority in this multi-racial middleclass to upper middleclass that has residential areas that are also considered upper class. Overall Seksyen 7 is a picturesque development with nice winding roads and good town planning that afforded excellent living conditions to its residents over the decades. Although there are no hypermarkets and shopping malls within Seksyen 7 but there is the Aeon Bukit Raja Shopping Centre nearby besides 2 Tesco hypermarkets in Seksyen 13, Plaza Alam Sentral, SACC Mall, and Kompleks PKNS in Seksyen 14. Further awa, is Centrepoint Klang and Klang Parade shopping malls, in Klang city, while in Subang Jaya, there is Subang Parade and Empire Square shopping centres. There are dozens of restaurants and cafes in the commercial centres of this township while banking facilities and other retail outlets are aplenty also. Products and services for cars, motorbikes and other purposes are located within and without this township while in Seksyen 9 there are plenty of retail shops, banking facilities, and a small shopping mall. Although there are no hypermarkets and shopping malls within Seksyen 7 but there is the Aeon Bukit Raja Shopping Centre nearby besides 2 Tesco hypermarkets in Seksyen 13, Plaza Alam Sentral, SACC Mall, and Kompleks PKNS in Seksyen 14. Persiaran Kayangan, Persiaran Institut, Persiaran Permai, and Persiaran Bestari are the four main avenues servicing and keeping connected the various parts of this township. They also lead to other sections of Shah Alam where Persiaran Bestari connects to Lebuh Keluli then to Lebuhraya Selat Klang which in turn leads to Lebuhraya Shapadu and the Federal Highway. From the Federal highway one can also enter into Sekyen 7 via Persiaran Kayangan which leads to the other avenues. Persiaran Sultan links to the Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway which connects to the KESAS Highway and also leads to the ELITE Highway and the LDP. There are bus routes with bus-stops along Persiaran Bestari, Persiaran Permai, Persiaran Kayangan and also along Persiaran Institut. These local bus services bring residents here to Klang, KL and other parts of Klang Valley along the Federal Highway route.
