Overview

A small township located amongst sprawling suburbs and other development types, Taman Bunga Negara (TBN) is part of Section 27, Shah Alam. It has a large industrial area in its Western half, a few commercial spots, and residential areas comprising terrace houses, bungalows, semi-detached homes, flats, and apartments. It has a couple of commercial centres and a few rows of 1 or 2 storey shop lots located in strategic spots for easy and convenient reach by its residents. There is a network of avenues and minor roads servicing this scheme very effectively and its residents are enjoy their good quality and good planning. The avenues are wide, spacious, picturesque, and well maintained with plenty of green buffer zones as well lovely trees and palms lining them. The whole development, even the factory section, looks and feels green, neat and tidy. But in the older sections of the housing estates the servicing roads seem a bit narrow and unkempt though. Overall the cleanliness of this area is good, with average traffic flow, normal safety standards especially with certain parts being gated with 24 hour security, while being quite peaceful and quiet. It is a lower-middleclass to middleclass area with a population from all walks of life and is multi-racial. But it lacks a shopping mall within it, however, there are many types of retail-outlets at its many shop-lots and it is adjacent to other areas like Taman Alam Megah, Subang Jaya, Puchong, Kota Kemuning, which have shopping malls and hypermarkets.

Amenities & Facilities

There is now, The Nexus Regency Suites, formerly called Best [email protected], Shah Alam, which helps boost this area commercially, located near TBN’s North-Eastern tip. Famous brand food and retail outlets with names like Domino’s Pizza, 7-Eleven, 99-speedmart, and others besides many types of businesses, restaurants, car workshops, boutiques, hardware shops, private academic centres, pharmacies, clinics, banks and a self-service wholesalers market occupy the shop lots here and commercial spaces. There are a number of petrol stations, built here, probably due to TBN’s strategic central position to other townships, like Caltex, Petron, Mobil, Shell and Petronas. There is even a TM tower and station located in this development. Schools like SK Section 27, SK Hicom, SMK Section 27, SK Section 27 (2) and SRJK (T) Section 27 help meet the schooling needs of the youngsters of TBN besides some kindergartens in key locations amongst the housing estates. There are also parks and playgrounds found in convenient safe spots in this township. But what is also lacking is a hospital or at least a government polyclinic.

Accessibility & Transportation

Getting to TBN is easy while getting to other parts of Klang Valley, as well as outside of it, is also convenient as its main avenues connects to major highways. For example, Persiaran Kuala Selangor links to Persiaran Klang and Persiaran Hulu Selangor, and both these avenues are connected at the border of this area. And Persiaran Hulu Selangor is linked to Persiaran Hulu Langat and Persiaran Kuala Langat further inside TBN. Persiaran Kuala Selangor also links to the KESAS Highway which in-turn links to other highways and expressways. The ELITE Highway also can be easily reacedh from this enclave. Bus services and taxis do ply this area with many bus stops located conveniently especially on Persiaran Klang. Furthermore, there is the transport hub (RapidKL Depot, Shah Alam) and also the Alam Megah LRT station, which are both located within short driving distance away.
