Nestled amongst sprawling suburbs, South-West of Kuala Lumpur and North-West of Port Klang, Taman Sri Muda (TSM), is a major township in Shah Alam district. It is a multi-racial middleclass residential, commercial and industrial development that is fully matured and successful with a handful of bustling commercial centres. It is surrounded by Sections 23, 24, 33, and 35, Kemuning Utama, Mutiara Bukit Kemuning, and others. While also having a number of factory lots sections, one of them being Axis Industrial Area. Comprising mainly 2 and 3 storey terraced houses, residential land, apartments, factory and shop lots, this township experiences flooding. The situation was rectified in 1995 but flooding has reoccurred in recent years. It has been made publicly known that more mitigation works will be carried out sometime in 2017. The land here is mostly freehold and there is a large water treatment plant in the North while Klang River acts as a border to a large extent in the North and East of this township. There are a few apartments in TSM such as The Mediteranean Apartment, Pangsapuri Sri Muda, Pangsapuri Damai, besides a few churches in the various commercial centres here.The roads in TSM are good with trees lining them especially the important ones, while their kerbs and nature strips are well maintained. The streets of the housing sections are neat and tidy with lots of greenery as they had time to grow over the many years this matured township has been in existence. TSM residential areas are well supported by well distributed commercial centres spread out over this township. Cleanliness and safety is very good here while being relatively peaceful and quiet but traffic can be quite congested at peak hours. Some of the newer housing sections are gated and guarded in TSM which has had many residential phases built over the years. But it has been observed that property values have dropped somewhat the first quarter of 2017. There are a number of restaurants, food outlets, and cafes in TPP besides many retail outlets, distributed over its host of vibrant commercial centres. 99-Speedmart and 7-11, Restoran Sri Mayuri, Restoran NTS, Hotel Royal Comfort, Good View Kitchen, Mutiara Inn, Public Bank, CSM Hardware City, Pasar Mini Laksmir, Restoran 933, Alliance Bank, My Mydin, KFC Restaurant, Domino’s Pizza, and many others are some of the names of businesses in its various commercial centres. There is also the NSK Wholesalers Hypermarket at Axis and Weng Foon Supermarket that add value to this township. Within this area are three government schools, they are SK Taman Sri Muda, SK Taman Muda 2, and SMK Taman Sri Muda. The nearest places for further studies are in Shah Alam like Universiti Teknologi, Management and Science University and Al Madinah International University, and in Subang Jaya like Taylor’s University and Metropolitan College. The nearest hospitals are Columbia Asia Hospital Bukit Rimau, KPJ Selangor Specialist Centre, and SALAM Shah Alam Specialist Hospital. There is a police station based here and a also few petrol stations such as Petron, Shell and others, servicing TPP. TSM is easily accessible via Persiaran Budiman that links to Persiaran Perusahaan which leads to Persiaran Sultan and the Federal Highway in the North and via Persiaran Budiman which links with the KESAS Highway in the South-East Jalan Bukit Kemuning in the South. All of which keep TSM well connected to the rest of Klang Valley and beyond. There are bus routes along Persiaran Budiman and Jalan Bukit kemuning with bus-stops at key points besides three KTM train stations nearby.
