Sunway Damansara is a major residential and commercial township located in Petaling Jaya,
surrounded by other major townships such as Damansara Perdana, Kota Damansara, Bandar Utama, and
Mutiara Damansara.
Residents in Sunway Damansara have convenient access to food and recreational activities at the Central
Park Dataran Sunway, a commercial complex consisting of an integrated indoor sports centre (inclusive of
futsal and badminton courts), food courts, restaurants, retail outlets, and a multi-storey covered car park.
Accessibility into Sunway Damansara via a number of dedicated highways and expressways allow residents
to commute to and fro the area. Traffic congestion starts to build up during peak hours, partially due to the high number of people living in this densely populated area.
Within the township's commercial area, lanes have been turned into one-way streets which led to every other
motorist using that same route to exit the area, and the problems only further mounted when motorists
began to double park.
A two-hour limit on parking was then implemented in 2013 to prevent motorists from hogging the parking
bays and to avoid other motorists from double parking when they are unable to find a parking spot.
