Taman Desa Murni is a matured neighbourhood situated near the Perai River in Sungai Dua, on the mainland of Penang. To add to the convenience of Taman Desa Murni’s location, there are no fewer than five public schools around it, ranging from a Chinese school, SJK (C) Kai Chee, to Malay-medium schools like SK Sungai Dua, SK Desa Murni, SMK Desa Murni and SMK Datuk Haji Ahmad Said. These schools are positioned in the midst of even more shops and amenities in the Sungai Dua town centre, such as a food court, post office, police station, wet market, supermarkets, two mosques, as well as restaurants and cafes. Taman Desa Murni is also set at an almost equal distance from two reputable hospitals – Hospital Kepala Batas and Hospital Seberang Jaya. Residents just need to drive less than 3km either to get onto the North-South Expressway (NSE) that leads to other towns and states, or to access the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR).
